Sarah Askey
Associate Solicitor
What is your role and area of expertise?
I have been a property solicitor for over 13 years and have experience of dealing with both residential and commercial property transactions. I deal with a range of matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared ownership purchases, buy to let purchases and new build property purchases. I act for a range of clients including individuals and companies and have dealt with the acquisition, site set up and plot sales for property developers. I have also previously worked in house for a property lender dealing with development and bridging finance.
How do you approach working with clients?
For me it is important to remember that purchasing a property can be a very stressful time for clients, I combine a personal approach working closely with my clients with legal expertise to ensure each transaction is handled efficiently.
What’s a standout achievement in your career?
There isn’t one standalone moment, it is always very satisfying helping a first-time buyer buy their first home. At the other end of the scale completing a finance deal on a multimillion-pound development is also rewarding.
How do you incorporate Cullimore Dutton’s values?
I aim proud to provide a high-quality service in an approachable down to earth manner.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy running and recently completed the Chester Triple (a 10km run, a half marathon and metric marathon), raising over £5500 for charity. I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children, weekends are mostly spent watching my children play football and pottering around Delamere Forest.
