Mortgage market responds to the easing of restrictions

With housing market restrictions lifted in England the mortgage market is responding, and we are receiving daily updates from lenders who are continually reviewing their mortgage products and their lending criteria, enabling them to lend to an increasing number of applicants.

We are also experiencing an uplift in new clients wanting to purchase property or looking to re-mortgage at a better rate.

In fact, now is a great time for a re-mortgage review with interest rates at an all-time low – you could be paying much less each month, even if you are
tied to your current mortgage product – it may still prove cheaper to pay off any early redemption fees. In addition, our Residential Conveyancing
team can support you with the legal paperwork.

Did you know, we can review your mortgage scheme even if:
• you have asked for a payment holiday, or
• you have been furloughed

We can research and present the options available to you with no obligation.

We have also received a number of enquiries from older clients seeking our advice on later life lending, these are strong indicators that the property
market is moving towards an upward shift and that our clients are looking forward positively to the next few months.

With interest rates at an all-time low there are some really competitive deals available on all mortgage & re-mortgage schemes with later life lending
rates being especially low.

If you are considering a home-move check out our article Movement for Home–Movers on how the lifting of restrictions in England will affect the housing market.
